Apple Cake Spice is a fragrant spice that adds a wonderful depth to apple cake, and can replace mixed spice in many recipes. Add it to fruit pie filling or directly into the dough. Rose petal and calming chamomile help create a delicate blend that can enhance sweet and savoury dishes alike.
Tips & Tricks: sprinkle into your porridge for added flavour, stir into smoothies for that extra kick, or fold into your pancakes. If you feel like experimenting, try using it in place for recipes that call for cinnamon (or cassia).
How to Use: To make approximately 500ml of apple sauce, use ¾ tsp of spice and 5 apples. Try it with pork or cauliflower, and in rice dishes together with cardamom and lemon rind.
